Bull Moose Hunting Past Success

Past moose hunting success on this river has averaged between 50 to 60%.

We have had moose hunting groups that enjoyed 75% to 100% success on this particular river.

The success normally depends on the weather and the hunters hunting abilities and attitude.

Many moose hunting groups do not harvest more than one bull moose because they do not want to pack out a second or third bull moose.

Our overall past average moose harvest success on this river would be 60 to 70% or more if all of our past hunters were tough, hunted all the days they had booked with us, the weather was cooler, the hunters hunted hard every day and did not sleep in, and/or if the hunters did not stop hunting hard after they harvested their first bull moose.

The cost of non-resident licenses and tags are extra and are as follows:

General hunting license $85, moose tag $400, black bear tags $225 each, wolf tags $30 each or no charge, wolverine tag $175 & a fishing license runs between $35 to $60.
