Alaska Self-Guided Caribou Hunting Reports

Alaska Self-Guided Caribou Hunting Reports

Our self-guided caribou hunters over the last twenty plus years have enjoyed 90% to 100% past success in most years with many fine trophy bull caribou being harvested.

Our self-guided and fully-guided caribou hunting success has been lower in some years due to warm weather or hunters that were not tough enough, did not hunt from sunrise to sunset or that gave up and ended their hunt before the scheduled pick up date.

When we experience a very warm caribou hunting season the bull caribou normally stay up high in the mountains away from the bugs and the bulls then are less active, thus making it hard to be successful. Adventures In The Wild nor our hunters have any control over the weather or the lack of activity by the bull caribou. This is a simple fact of life and why our sport is called hunting and not called killing!

Many caribou hunting shows/videos/DVD's depict the fact that thousands upon thousands of caribou will pass by you when you are on a fair chase caribou hunting adventure in North America, but the real life fact is that this dream only happens once in a great while and is far from reality!

I have personally been on at least fifteen caribou hunting trips over the last 25 plus years in Newfoundland, Quebec, the Northwest Territories, Brittish Columbia and Alaska and I have only spotted more than 200 to 300 caribou at a single time once so seeing thousands upon thousands of caribou at one time is rare and few regular hunters ever experience this dream in real life.

We invite you to come to Alaska and enjoy one of our "Extremely Remote Fly-In Caribou and/or Caribou and Big Game Hunting Adventures" that "You'll Remember for the Rest of Your Life".

Enjoy the "Great Outdoors" with family & friends!

Sincerely,

Dave & Beth Mason
