We invite you to come and experience Brown Bear Hunting at its best in South Central Alaska with a very professional registered bear guide. The guides we use hunt very hard for our clients and their past client harvest success has been near 90%. Most hunters have a chance at more than one brown bear. The hunts take place every year in April, May and June or September and October.
The hunts are conducted out of a spike or a wall tent camps near Cordova, Alaska. Over the years, this hunt has produced brown bear that average between 9 to 10 feet, with larger bear being taken as well. Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young record book brown bears have been taken on this hunt. You will hunt some of the finest big game areas that Alaska has to offer, accessible by bush plane or boat & motor from/to bear camp. One of our bear hunts takes place on some "Exclusive Privately Leased Land".
In the spring of 2007 we had nine brown bear hunters and all the hunters had opportunities at the bear of their choice. The largest 2007 spring brown bear harvested was 11' 2" and the estimated weight of the bear was 1200 pounds. During the spring hunt two of our hunters passed up bear looking for bigger bears. Our hunts include 10 or 12 days of hunting weather permitting.
During our fall of 2007 hunt we had seven hunters that harvested or passed up the bears of their choice. Our largest 2007 fall brown bear squared 10'-5" other bears harvested were two 9'-0", one 8'-6", and one 7'-8". One of our 2007 fall brown bears was taken by an archery hunter and squared 9' 0". One of the other two hunters passed up bears looking for a "Monster Bear" and the last hunter saw bears but just could not get a good shot off.
During our fall of 2008 hunt we had four hunters that harvested the bears of their choice. Our largest 2008 fall brown bear squared 10'-4" other bears harvested were one 9'-9", one 9'-4", and one 7'-8".
In the spring of 2009 we had nine brown bear hunters that harvested seven brown bears and all the hunters had opportunities at the bear of their choice. The largest 2009 spring brown bear harvested was 10' -5" and the skull measured 28 4/16". The other six bear harvested were between 8'-11" and 9'-6".
During our fall of 2009 hunt we had seven hunters Five of which harvested the bears of their choice and the other two hunters had opportunities. Our largest 2009 fall brown bear squared 10' and had a 27 1/2" skull. Other bears harvested in the fall of 2009 were two 8', one 9', and One 9'-6".

License & tag fees:
Our spring & fall brown bear hunting packages begin and end in Cordova, Alaska.
We offer 7 day mountain goat hunts at a cost of $9,250 per hunter.
7 day black bear hunts run $5,000 per hunter.
Please add two days on each hunt for travel time to and from the hunt area.
All expenses to and from or while in Cordova are at your own expense.
We hunt two different areas for brown bear out of Cordova, Alaska.
