Alaskan Extremely Remote Fly-In Self-Guided Caribou Drop Hunt for Alaskan Residents!

The Alaskan Barren Ground caribou not only have the largest antlers in North America, but they also have the largest bodies.

Many Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young record book animals are taken each year in Alaska. This self-guided drop hunt takes place approximately 300 to 360 miles west of Anchorage, Alaska. You will hunt the famous Mulchatna Caribou herd in units 17, 18 or 19. These hunts take place from September 1st to the end of September each year for Alaskan residents only.

This remote 7 to 9-day 2009 caribou drop hunt includes:

  • Bush flights from a small town in western Alaska to the remote caribou hunting area & return.
  • One check flight weather permitting, all meat, hide, rack & baggage hauling back to the small town.
  • Placement of you and your group into a prime remote fly-in caribou area.
  • Tents, cooking & eating equipment, cook stove & fuel, salt for your capes/hides, pepper to protect the meat and bear spray.
  • Two-way radio, tarps, dry bags, 5 gallon water jug, and sleeping pads.
  • Five to seven days of hunting weather permitting or more.
  • Self service meat shed and cleaning area in the small Alaska town.

All for only $2,915.00 USD per hunter for 2009

The cost for a non-hunter is $1,954.00 per person for 2009

If fuel prices increase a lot in 2009 a fuel surcharge may be added to the cost of your hunt if need be!
