Jerry Bateman with 2007 BillyIf you are looking for a first class "Mountain Goat Hunt" where the average past hunter has taken a mountain goat with horns between 8 & 10 inches, then this is the hunt for you. Our past mountain goat hunter success has been near 100%. Billy's over 10" are possible.
In 2007 we had four mountain goat hunters that harvested the long haired billies of their choice. The largest billy had 9-1/2" horns and the smallest billy had 8-3/8" horns.
This hunt takes place in late September and early October allowing our clients to harvest full bodied long haired trophy mountain goats.
The registered guides that we use have many years of mountain goat hunting experience. Some of the guides are members of Safari Club International, Guides & Outfitters Association, Foundation of North American Wild Sheep, North American Hunting Club and National Rifle Association.
Our South Central mountain goat hunts start from Cordova, Alaska. The goat hunt takes place from high mountain lakes so the hunter does not have to be in perfect physical condition like most other goat hunts.High Mountain Lake
