Northwest Territories Fully Guided Arctic Wolf Hunt!

We offer one of the finest wolf hunting adventures available in the Northwest Territories of Canada, where past hunter success has been exceeding 90%. The arctic wolf is a rare and very prized trophy. The outfitter we use has a reputation known worldwide for outstanding service and many of his big game hunters hold records in the Boone & Crockett, Pope& Young and S.C.I. record books.

 

 

This unique and exciting hunting adventure takes place out of the town of Yellowknife. You will not only hunt for arctic wolf, as you can hunt for ptarmigan and arctic hare as well. This is a six day hunt starting and ending in Yellowknife. You will travel the winter ice road and also hunt around Mackay Lake or Great Slave Lake in search of your trophy arctic wolf. The hunt is accomplished with the use of 4x4 vehicles and snowmobiles.

The arctic wolves in our hunting area range in color from black to white are long legged and can run like the wind. The average distance for shooting is 100 to 200 yards with some wolves taken at distances between 50 to 300 yards. Hunters need to dress in layers for this hunt and bring warm winter clothing. You will be able to hunt 8 to 12 hours per day.

 

 

 

This outstanding fully guided arctic wolf hunting package includes

  • Meals and heated trailer or tent accommodations
  • Two professional guides per hunter
  • 4x4 trucks, snowmobiles & fuel
  • Skinning of your trophy

The cost for this exciting fully guided arctic wolf hunt is $4,000 USD per hunter

(You can harvest a second wolf per hunter if you pay an additional $1,000 USD trophy fee to the outfitter)

(We normally only take one or two wolf hunters per week but we can accommodate up to four hunters in a group)

Additional costs

Wolf hunting licenses run $50 each and the N.W.T. wolf trophy fee is $100 per wolf. Optional license fees are as follows: Small game license for (arctic hare & arctic ptarmigan) runs $50. A fishing license runs $40. (These fees are in Canadian funds.)

The 5% GST, gratuities and expenses from your hometown to/from Yellowknife and while in Yellowknife are at your own expense.

The hunt package starts in Yellowknife departing on Mondays with returning to Yellowknife on Saturdays. Other dates may be available upon request. There is a $90 fee for trophy preparation if you take your wolf home with you. If you have your trophy mounted by a resident taxidermist in Yellowknife and later shipped to you there are no trophy preparation fees. The taxidermist can handle the cities permit for you.

Hunting date options for the 2010 season are as follows; March 15 to 20, March 24 to 27, March 29 to April 3, or April 5 to 10.
